sudden death of a soprano star sending shock waves through hollywood and the nation this morning. james gandolfini the actor who played tony soprano is dead. >> he was on vacation in italy with his 13-year-old son when the situation took a terrible turn. when they got back to the hotel the actor suffered a massive heart attack in the bathroom. at this hour it is unclear whether he had been suffering from any health problems. this is a brand new photo of the actor just days before his death. it was taken at a tattoo parlor in california where he planned to get some new ink. he was apparently in great spirits. sore many people james gandolfini will be remembered as tony soprano the tough talking new jersey mob boss on the hit show "the sopranos". >> focus on the good times.

isn't that what you said one time? try to remember the times that were good? >> i did? >> yes. >> it's true i guess. >> that was the very last scene of the show it ran from 1999 to 2007. gandolfini won two emmy awards a golden globe in his iconic role. chase called gandolfini one of the greatest actors of this or any time. he went on to say quote i remember telling him many times, you don't get it, you are like mozart. there would be silence at the other end of the phone. he appeared in zero dark 30 and he was on broadway in a comedy "god of karnage." he leaves his wife deborah behind and had a little girl last year. he has a 13-year-old son from a previous marriage. james gandolfini was 51 years

statement today the fbi says few surveillance aircraft in very few circumstances. they showed us an example. the fbi used it during the hostage pabarricade situation i alabama earlier this year. ted po estimates by 2030 approximately 30,000 drones could be flying in america's skies. he is crafting legislation that would spell out the due process protection for americans in cases that do involve drones. quote they say they prohibit drone surveillance of an individual or their property without a warrant and would make the use of armed drones over u.s. soil illegal. that is being supported by representative. mueller has said even though the fbi is using the drones they must first obtain approval by the faa to use any aircraft in any type of confined area.

surveillance doesn't end there. brand new testimony from the director of the fbi says the agency is also using drones here in the united states. doug luzader has details. he joins us live from washington. >> good morning. it was something of a surprise. the director of the fbi was asked a simple question about drone use his answer may touch off another debate about the surveillance of u.s. citizens. one of these be coming to a neighborhood near you? it may have already happened. they acknowledge drones aren't just for overseas use or border enforcement. the bureau used them for domestic surveillance. >> does the fbi use drones for surveillance on u.s. soil? >> yes. >> a one-word answer. one incident earlier this year in fact involved ap standoff with a man in alabama who was holding a young boy hostage in an under ground bunker. other potential uses raise

macedo has more. a lot of us on the private sector don't get bonuses but government employees do. >> the irs is set to pay 70 million in bonuses despite being directed by the obama administration to skip these extra payments in light of the sec ster. this is according to grassly's offices the bonuses are due on wednesday and should be canceled under the white house directive. while the irs says it's still negotiating with the national treasury's employee's union they don't dispute the bonuses are eminent. michelle eldredge said office of manage am and budget directs that agency should not pay discretionary monetary awards at this time unless legally acquired but she wouldn't specify it they were contractually committed to
